Jawmax
Jawmax allows you to restrict the opening of the jaw. For example, this could be used to keep the teeth clenched. The lower the value, the less the jaw is allowed to open. At 1.0 there is no restriction, and at 0.0 the jaw will stay completely closed. Using jawmax does impede speech movement; consider this when applying adjustments to normal speech.
The default setting for jawmax is 1.0.
The range for jawmax is [0.0 to 1.0].
Setting Jawmax
Set Jawmax for a Batch (via SGX-GUI)
To adjust jawmax for an entire batch via SGX-GUI, change the setting in the "Jawmax" field. In the example below, jawmax is set to 0.7.
Set Jawmax for a Batch (via the Command Line)
To set jawmax for an entire batch on the command line, use the markup option -m
; for example: -m "jawmax=0.7"
.
Set Jawmax in the Transcript
You can set jawmax within the transcript using markup tags. This allows you to tune the jawmax on a phrase-by-phrase basis. A markup tag containing the 'jawmax' attribute will apply to everything that follows it up until the next tag containing the 'jawmax' attribute. For example:
(jawmax=0.5) Would you like the whole town to see
you in a wrinkled uniform (jawmax=1.0) don't answer
you just listen
Video Examples of Jawmax
Default Jawmax
No markup is needed for the default jawmax setting.
You mean you can't take less it's very easy to take more than nothing
Jawmax=0.7
To reduce the jaw opening a little, reduce the default setting to a little lower than 1.0. In this example jawmax=0.7.
(jawmax=0.7) You mean you can't take less it's very easy to take more than nothing
Jawmax=0.1
To completely clamp the jaw (as you may want for speaking through clenched teeth), reduce the jawmax to close to 0.0. In this example, jawmax=0.1.
(jawmax=0.1) You mean you can't take less it's very easy to take more than nothing
