Language Support

When including transcripts with the input audio (see Input Options), a specific language module is required to interpret pronunciation of the input text. You must select the correct language module for the language being spoken in the input (see language selection options in SGX Director and SGX Producer).

For optimal pronunciation quality, we provide dialect-specific modules for some languages. It is always essential to use the right language module for the language and dialect heard in the input audio. For example, if the speaker has a British English dialect, use the British English language module (English_GB-EAW) and not the American English one (English_US). (Otherwise, for example, the pronunciation of final "r" sounds, which differ between these dialects, may be incorrect). If the speaker has a dialect for which there is not a specific language module, such as Australian English, use the closest available dialect (which in the case of Australian is British English).

We currently provide 14 language modules:

Languages are covered by the user license. Each language you license entitles you to all of the dialects of that language. For example, licensing English entitles you to the dialect modules English_US, English_GB_EAW, and English_GB_SCT.
